But, yeah, I'm generalizing here. Just when I went to post I thought about covers and none came to mind. I usually get outraged when artists cover a song. I heard Anne Hathaway cover Somebody to Love the other day, good lord.

I think most of us are biased when it comes to this because it's usually the version that we heard first that sounds the best...so if you heard the cover first, it sounds better than the original and vice versa..

most songs, though not all, that tori amos has covered. well, in most cases they are either as good as the original or better. the only one i don't really care for is her cover of enjoy the silence. snoozefest to me.

in most cases, though, i don't dig covers too much.
