2004- Prince kicks ass and the Sox beat the Yankees!

This hs been the best year of my life- Prince came back with an amzing tour and proved he's still the King, and tonight the underdog Red Sox, with almost 100 years of heartache, finally beat the mighty Yankees!

Maybe Prince can write a song for the Red Sox.... can u relate?..

Um, like gawd, no. But I'm glad the Sox kicked Steinbrenner's ass and I hope he's crying an ocean.

I must admit, learning how to be a "good loser" is an art that is learned over time.
Which probably explains why BLOSox fans are experts at this acquired skill and Yankee fans are not.

Keep in mind that the Red Sux only have to...
~win 27 World Championships
~win 39 American League Pennants
~NOT pass on Jackie Robinson and Willie Mays eek
(not to mention the Babe Ruth or Roger Clemens fiascos)

...before they can even consider "reversing the curse".

So you're going to the World Series. Congrats, you earned it.
But can anyone say Bill Buckner?

I watched most of the series and was SHOCKED that the Yankees fell apart liked they did. I've been into sports since I was a kid, never liked the Celtics or the Red Sox. Or let me be more specific, never liked the fans. It's just a little overtone thing I get from them. Anyway, congrats to the Red Sox. They did what had to be done on their part. The Yanks didn't. I like the Yankees, always have. Ever since Reggie Jackson. Man, the Red Sox fucked the Yankees up on a national stage. See how the Sox do in the big show.

Sir, this is unacceptable to one that was born and raised in the City and has been a Yankee fan since the Mantle/Maris era.

You will be reported to Big George.

I'm an NL fan, but the Cards call the Mets "pond scum". mad Also, I hear Yankees fans will be rooting for them (and sales of Cardinals gear are up in NY! eek ) I might have to jump back on the Red Sox bandwagon.
