So I was watching The Surreal Life today (it's a guilty pleasure ), and it was the one where the cast were trying to record a song. OK, so everyone was kinda having problems as far as the progress of the recording, but Ryan just got on my last nerve!

Ohhh, boo-hoo "I'm not a pop singer, I'm a Rock singer..."; "Jordan is trying to make me sing R&B. It's like American Idol all over again...."

Please. You should be thankful that you're on that stupid show and for having gotten the chance to be on American Idol. And what's all this selling-out business about? For fuck's sake, you were on American Idol! It's not like you became famous for playing in a rock or metal band.

Gawd, she's such a drama queen.

what i don't get is.... if she didn't want to meet people, make friends, try new experiences.... why the fuck did she sign up for the show?


there are certainly better ways to announce yourself to the world as a musical act than appearing on the Surreal Life.


in effect, she's gone from the bottom rung on one side of the ladder, and instead of climbing the ladder to the top, and then back down again (the normal trajectory of a singer), she's just swung around to the bottom rung on the other side by appearing on this show of has-beens and never-weres.


at least it was painless for us. we didn't have to suffer through 2 years of her being at the top of the ladder. she just bypassed the whole success part of her career. very kind of her.

I don't even watch the show but cringed when I saw the commercial where Ryan was boo-hooing about how she doesn't want to do pop. I watched AI1 and Ryan isn't even a passable pop singer. I'd hate to see what she does with rock. It's definitely a roll-my-eyes moment.

BTW how is Jordan as a producer? From the commercials no one seems to be happy, not that I'd expect much from this bunch anyways.

off topic but even tho Public Enemy is one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time I always wrote Flav off as a Talentless crackhead. I was suprised to see that he can play drums, bass, and keys.

yeah i was so surprised at Flava flav's talents. Who knew he could play the piano, the drums, and those banjo drums (u know what i'm talking about, can't remember the name). He has really surprised me. And all i thought he could do was play the "hype man" role...he sure proved me wrong.....

I saw a bit of this ep last night and the co-producer and Charo (ROTFLMAO) were compalining that his playing was all over the place. Jordan seemed to love it though. Ryan was snickering on the couch.

Brigitte's singing is horrendous.... sounds like she's yelling. Which I guess that's why they gave her a spoken words part. She's a trip....her and flava make the show worth watchin'

Ryan's already burned a bridge with that one Vegas hotel she promised to sing at if they got her a room. She get's the room and then ignores their calls when it's time for her to sing. She must have a great reputation in Las Vegas now.
