Who remembers the "Billie Jean" answer song? I recall in late 1983,there was a song by a woman who was supposedly the "Billie Jean" that Michael was talking about in his song.It used the same music as Mike's song, and the chorus goes...
"I'm Billie Jean, and I'm mad as hell I'm a woman with a story to tell Superstar....you know just who you are Superstar....you know just who you are" Throughout the song, she talks about having an affair with Micheal and falling deeply in love with him.But then she claims that Michael began to ignore her... "but then all of a sudden, you just stopped coming by you never called on the phone, and I didn't know why" Then, she claims that she is pregnant with his baby.I had heard that Mike's song was inspired by a real-life groupie who was stalking him and claiming that she had his baby.Does anyone remember this song? What was the lady's name who sang it? I thought it was an interesting "answer song".It's too bad that Mike didn't keep the drama going by responding back with another song...lol...

(in crotchety old man voice) Hey there youngn'! Watch that sass! Back in my day, we had respect for our elders! We didn't have any of this new-fangled internet stuff! If we wanted to complain about our favorite artist, we had to do it over the telephone. MTV actually played music back in those days!! We'd wait hours just to see our favorite video! That's the way it was, and we liked it!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Is that the single by "The Real Billie Jean?" When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. Regardless of the day, I'm glad you were born.

Do you remember the song, "Roxanne, Roxanne" by UTFO... Later, a girl named, "The Real Roxanne" had a reply by the same name.
Also - there was an answer to the song "The Rain" by Oran "Juice" Jones. I don't remember the name though. |
