I love Joni. This looks cool. I'm a bit useless with song titles tho' so would have to check up to know if all my favs are there.

She is the lyric queen - her songs are poems. There's a fabulous book of them I would love to own one day...

That's the 'Beginning of Survival' collection, if I'm not mistaken. I saw that, and I liked the idea of having a themed collection (more like something a friend who was into her work might give you, rather than a plain old Greatest Hits). Plus, I was into the idea of a collection of songs addressing political/social themes, as I'm not really familiar with that aspect of her work.

Do you (or anyone else reading this) have it? Is it any good?

I don't have it, but I have all those songs on their original albums, and they're all great. nod The Reoccuring Dream is one of her most powerful, underrated tracks. It's good to see Joni likes it too.

I love Joni, but how many compilations of her old songs is she going to put out? Granted the re-recordings are kinda interesting in a "then and now" way, but is she stuck in a rut?
