OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN!!!!! Story of being happy and sad

I currently have 8731 songs on my computer, that I love to play on shuffle.

And then....Make a Move on Me came on.... and it made me so happy!

Some things you just have to give into. I hate conforming to certain standards, like if you are gay you HAVE to like ABBA.

But Olivia Newton-John... I liked her music waaaay before my first bf Richard's kiss turned me gay...

My sister took me to see Grease in the cinema. I was only seven, but I loved the songs...well, maybe I was already gay. Hehehe.

And Make a Move on Me is not even my favorite; that is A Little More Love...which I am listening to NOW.

It makes me happy. And jeez I needed that. I myself have infected sinuses and my 4 y/o tomcat Dexter is so sick he was in shock this morning, as a result of three hospitalisations over the last five weeks. All to do with his infected bladder becuz of kidney stones. They keep blocking his lil' penis.

And this morning he was SO sick...totally catatonic and he had not moved from the comfy chair I put him in yesterday...I brought him to the vet and he is even too weak for surgery!
If he makes it through the night they are going to attempt to amputate his lil' weenie...so it won't block anymore, or so goes the theory.

So I cicled back home crying and decided to re-arrange the furniture as I just got a new couch two days ago...it would keep my mind of things....

So I cleared out the huge cupboard containing my vinyl collection, graphic novels and Prince book and mag collection. I put it on the ground and after I had relocated my cupboard, my eye fell on something sticking out of an album...

It was the hand written recepy for my mum's famous pie... my mother passed away not suddenly, but unexpectedly early this February and my sister copied the recepy for me and my brother and sister.
So I just sat down and cried...again....

I am not having my day and Olivia just made it a lil' bit better.

hug to you all.

i love me some olivia, too - though my first exposure to her was the "totally hot" album, and then of course, the movie that would endear me to her for life....

Grief goes with ups and downs...I am feeling weak. Normally I am stronger and the recepy would have made me smile.

You know, but realising my tomcat might not make it (he's THAT weak) just hits you hard.

It is so easy to let loss rule your life. Sometimes it seems that whatever you love is just there to be taken away, like to care means to be hurt. I am just glad that a simple song can still reach me.

A Little More Love!

I have that one from Olivia Newton-John's Greatest Hits Part 2....

I thought that was SO silly. People in Europe never HEARD of Olivia before Grease, or her songs....I never heard the part 1 songs...

Hehehe. A Han Solo moment. I love you right back. One of my trueest Org friends. If you only knew how your words worked on me earlier this year. I derived loads of strength from those words.

SIck kitties and never fun. I remember when mine was doing really poorly, I didn't know what to do, nor did I have any money to take her to the vet. A friend of mine helped her with Kittyvite. A vitamin nutrient supplemet for cats.

I hope your cat pulls through. Not sure if you have changed his food...but I think wet doesn't cause the crystals that he's getting now..as much as dry food. Just a thought.

Right now I am going through my grandma's passing away. SHe's not gone yet, but anyday now, I have been told. Loss is difficult. I have been doing ok...I have really good friends to talk to...and it makes bearing this a bit easier.

I really hope you and your cat get better and have better days...Olivia is certiany someone that can lift a cloud on a cloudy day.

I love her too dude, and I am straight as a ruler. I grew up with Totally Hot, Grease, & Xanadu...my older sisters were huge Olivia fans, so every time I put on The Beatles as soon as they came in the room Revolver got booted for Xanadu or Physical. I didn't mind cause they were good songs and I had a HUGE crush on her. I swear I experienced my 1st boner after seeing her all slutted up in Grease confused . I can't believe I just admitted that.

A few years ago,Olivia mentioned that she was asked to particpate in "Grease 3".Apparently,they were planning to make another sequel, and John Travolta was gonna reprise his role as well. Not sure if it will still happen, but it could be really interesting.

Now that i've regained my composure somewhat after seeing Supernova back on the board and actually read the thread, I apologize to Gooey for my insensitivity.

A Little More Love, Magic and Suddenly are my fav Olivia Newton-John tunes.

My apologies again Gooey. redface

First time I heard her was a little country song called "Please Mister, Please".

I was in love.

Her smile is the exact same as my wife's.

hug for you Gooey.

Not necesary.

Most my threads get jacked by inconsiderate Dutchies, so getting jacked by someone declaringhis love for an ORger is quite nice...

I was with a bunch of old friends yesterday (a grade school reunion) and we were talking a lot about stuff we all grew up with (Star Wars, Led Zeppelin, 8-tracks...). I mentioned Olivia Newton John and how I had such a big crush on her (cause of this thread...thanks Gooey!)...every guy in the group admitted the same thing. I think every guy currently in his 30s had a thing for Olivia at some point. She was IT back then.
