nod : Agreed. I am glad that you brought this point up. Unfortunately, society can not see past race. It's bad to see people making mockery out of people of different races and it should not be tolerated whether on a music video or television show(The Apprentice).

I think there is a lot of truth in what Rhonda said. I never, ever heard Mike mention color until he wasn't happy anymore.

as it may seem
but i have a don't judge a book by its cover Complex
I've examined MJ's lifestyle for quite many years (i have no life)
thus i know the whole sittuation with Matolla and his "Antics"
Generally i don't believe itw as right to be as forward as to shout racism,
but to simply state that thier was something wrong with that sittuation
but to each his own...
Michael is a paranoid and arogant person i don't disagree with Rhonda
i just don't believe that all that is taken at face value should be
taken as concrete truth
No one knows what goes through that mans head
im simply saying unless you have concrete evidence that the man was doing something for a specific reason
it is just mere speculation
I understand Rhonda's point of view and respect it
but i don't take it as truth
as she might not take mines as truth, but im sure she is dignified to respect an honest opinion
In terms with Michael Jackson you cannot take anything as face value
cause if you do, you bring out your own ignorance
if you have an interest in his life, examine it and try to seek the truth
thats my opinion anyways.
Afterall this is a Discussion board, as Rhonda pointed out
i must admit i love cleverness as a female Characteristics
lol

completely understood. nod I truly believe that no one takes anyones "opinion" as "truth".

did Eminem make a mockery out of Mjs race or cultural or Mjs behavior. And as much as I hate to defend eminem, but is hip hop ONLY black culture? Or is it something that came out of the black and latin experience that is NOW something that is multi racial and cultural like Jazz, that comes out of a person's experience. I don't think Eminem is like a Vanilla Ice who was capitalizing on hip hop to the point of making up a story about his life.

In my opinion, (that's for luv wink ) There is a huge difference in how Sandy J was treated on the Apprentice or even the image of the unmanagable, too outspoken black woman that two seasons of that show has put out there VS Eminem addressing in satire Mjs BEHAVIOR.

I continue to feel that the video is tacky, etc, blah, blah, blah...but so was his other attacks on women and gays....I don't recall the removal of the video then from BET. Its very much a BS stance from BET. Understand the removal from BET wasn't about RACE, RACISM or Eminem disrespecting the "race" of Mj...it was just because of their long standing "relationship" with him. The video was played on BET only up until MJ complained so the programmers didn't find it racially charged before the complaint.

am I making sense...I'm ramblin' and not being so "clever" now...lol

oh and Hotlegs...I'mma hit you up in the orgnotes about the apprentice...that show pisses me off. Big up for Tyra Banks for sorta addressing the "angry black woman" thing on ANTM when Eva was being "bitchy".

Girl, I am glad you brought up the Sandy J issue b/c it needs to be discussed and brought to light. The way they did Sandy was wrong and I have stopped watching The Apprentice as a result. It was one thing when the played Amarosa. Then they turn around the next season and make it worse. And what's really funny is the same female who was dogging Sandy turned around and started talking about Jewish women and she got dimissed on air and off(fired from her real job karma is mother). The producers are supposely going to be bringing Sandy back to show. Even if they bring her back, the damage is done. There is no way in hell that they will ever catch me watching the show. Donald's true colors have been brought to the surface.

Well, I must say one positive thing about Eminen. Eventhough I think he is another rapper wanna be, he definitely knows how to stir up controversey and get people reflecting on the racist acts and intolerace in society.

As for my girl Tyra, I agree with you. Tyra definite set things staight when it comes down to the Black Women stereotype. I love her show and I watch it every week. I also like how they don't discriminate and give love to all women: fat, skinny, blind.

However, I am concerned about the blind girl. She seems to have a brick on her shoulder by dogging Eva (jealousy) and accusing her of stealing her shit for no reason. If anything, the young blind lady should be worried about her saftey especially on the runway. I have a friend who has that disorder and I must say the blind model is really taking a risk with her health
.

The blind girl lost her mind when she got the make over. Eva IS competion and for some reason some folks don't like confidence in some women wink. Eva can be bitchy but I'm more concerned with Kelle. I want her off the show and I've written to ANTM about the horrible representation she is for younger black women and yet I loveeeee YaYa and Torrica or whatever her name is lol I liked the multi cultural representation on this season.

(stacie J not sandy J...my bad)

ok..back to Mj and Enimem...smile

bottom line - he isnt, MJ aint Black when he pleases, hes black period, in responce to the views of others and throughout his carrer he has frequently stated he is proud and honoured to be black, and this too has not been at times when it suited him, it has been all the time. I love eminem but i dont respect or feel what hes done with this video, bottom line is because the joke goes way beyond that. If someone made a video about me with this kind of sick imagry id want it pulled too, especialy at this time, in MJ's case.

dont come at me with this "well its MJ's fault for getting himself in this postion in the fist place" notion, because as far as im concerned its not - he aint doing nuthing wrong in the first place, so why should he stop living his life the way he does? because it makes people wonder? because it gives rise to Bullshit accusations - people who wonder and make such accusations are the ones who need to Stop doing what their doing and get THEIR mindes out the gutter - not michael jackson

Michael donating $$$ doesn't change my attitude about what I still view him only running to the black community when HE feels vicitimized. I never questioned his charity work.

and I don't get the "slavery mentality" comment. shrug

I know a guy I use to work with that admitted he was racist and yet gave to the United Negro College Fund. shrug He said he gave to the organization because he didn't want his kids going to college with "fill in the blank" so he wanted to make sure us "fill in the blank" had a school to go to...

I don't think anyone was disputing that Mike gives to Black causes/charities, at least I wasn't. I stated that I never heard him mention racism until his recent troubles adn seeing that I don't follow his career that closely, I may have missed it. If we are truly going to confront racism in this country, we have got to do it on both sides because there are black as well as white racists. I personally know black people who are racist and no one white have ever done anything to them personally. If we are going to pull Em's video for 'making fun of a black man' then we've got to pull every instance where black people make fun of white people in their videos.

MJ was beloved before he started molesting children. The freak. He deserves all the fun that people make of him for the allegations against him.

Your comment sickens me.

If the allegations are false (which is likely) then he doesn't deserve it at all. It's the worst thing that anybody could be falsely accused of.

Mike hasnt called eminem a racist at all, but some people (like steve harvey) feel that after Em, apolagizing for calling blacks N!**@$, has been out of order in dissing one of the best black entertainers ever. The main reason is cause the diss was out of order - implying mikes a pedo, when he isnt man

Even though I am inclined to believe Michael may be innocent, he himself is responsible for that implication.

The only thing i see wrong with the video is the vague child molesting comments Em made

Personally i don't think its right to poke fun at serious charges that are occurring now
it would be fine if MJ wasn't on trial
but he is and thats influencing a Jury Pool,
thats why i think mike is mad...(NOT ABOUT RACE)
other than that... theres really nothing wrong with the video

But thanks for the listing gman....

why are we still disputing this?
didn't we settle this already?
MJ's charitable work has nothing to do with this?
the Music Video has nothing to do with race
WTF IS THE BIG DEAL!
???
Am i the only one here with any sense?

Right on all counts, but to me, The Big Deal is someone being accused, disrespected and publicly humiliated for a harsh accusation that still hasn't been proved true. Famous or not.

I guess it's because MJ respected Eminem. He was invited to MJ's 30th ann. concerts, and Em said somewhere that Invincible was the best album of 2001. He probably didnt expect such a thing

CynicKill

Well from what I understand Em doesn't have much of a black following so him getting pulled from BET probably isn't even a big deal to him. It's probably why his "racist" rap he made a long time ago didn't leave a mark on him. To be honest this is only a controversy amongst orgers and forum fanatics. I don't really see any outrage anywhere else. Looks like it's indeed a "white thang".
