here is some info on a guy who met Mariah's back singer Trey Lorenz this weekend:
On Labor Day weekend our friend Sammy from NYC attended a barbecue where Trey Lorenz was also a guest. When he asked Trey about the album, he sang parts of two songs: "Stay the Night" and "If I Should Be Your Girl", which might be the same song "Yur Girl" that everyone has been talking about recently. Trey said that many of the songs are feature live instruments are a similar tempo to "Subtle Invitation" as well. He couldn't say when the album was going to be released, he just said it was up to the label. We will keep you posted if we hear anything else. The album is meant to be heavy on live instruments, she recorded a few tracks with a live band. Even the hip hop tracks feat live instruments

Even the title of this thread makes me cringe.
Yes, I bought the "Music Box" album when I was 14. But let's leave it there.

a little trivia...
In 1999,Mariah began recording songs for her "Glitter" project. She was working with various producers, trying to get an 80s sound, since that's the time period the film takes place in.She wanted to do a Madonna-sounding song,so she called up Maddy's producer Patrick Leonard. The two of them came up with a song called "Angel Of Fire" ,and it is rumored that Madonna had something to do with this song. The song was never released.Reportedly,Mariah also worked with Prince during this period but that collaboration remains unreleased as well.

Eh.....considering the things Madonna's said about Mariah over the years, I highly doubt that.

She didn't shoot her mouth off as much in the 80s.

But let's leave it there. Shut up. I love Kylie. She's intentionally cheesy, it's not the same thing. It isn't! No, it really isn't! ...and I just yesterday bought 5 Kylie singles. Didn't I feel excited when I walked out of the store!

In 1985,she went backstage to meet up with Prince during one of his "Purple Rain" shows. She was with her assistant and they were sitting in the front row. When the show ended, she turned to her assistant and said "Okay..time to go meet the midget". In September 1987,when Prince asked her to co-star in his movie "Graffiti Bridge",she took one look at the script and called him "stupid" to his face, and said the script was a "piece of shit".Nevertheless,he worked with her on "LoveSong" and played guitar on a few other tracks from her 'LAP' album. Back in those days, she talked mess about almost everyone

I think she called Mariah "talentless" among other things, so I'm more surprised that Mariah would consider working with Madonna than Madonna would consider working with Mariah.
