William Shatner Releasing New Album LOS ANGELES, -- U.S. actor William Shatner, former star of
"Star Trek" and "T.J. Hooker" will have an album entitled "Has Been" released Oct. 4. XFM.com reported Monday the album includes a cover version of Pulp's "Common People" with Shatner doing a duet with 1980s singer songwriter Joe Jackson. Also included in the album are the song "Trying" performed by Shatner, Ben Folds and alternative rock singer Aimee Mann, and a track called "I Can't Get Behind That" sung with Henry Rollins, XFM.com said. "It is a great record and it is really worth going out and doing some shows in major cities," Folds told Billboard. Shatner was "not a musician at all. But he is still part of the music. I've never heard a record quite like it."

Rollins talked about that track on his last spoken-word tour. He'll say something like, "coach seating on an airplane," then Shatner would say, "I can't get behind that!" It might have been the other way around. Guitar on that track is played by - oh, I forget, Robert Fripp?
Edit - guitar by Adrian Belew. [Edited 9/22/04 9:32am] When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. Regardless of the day, I'm glad you were born.
