Damn, to think I was nine when she was singing. Let Me Be your Angel scared me, but in a good way. She blew that song up, I'm shocked not to hear it more often on radio. It would be nice to know what she's doing today, she was truely a gifted singer. Since you brought her up, what's that song she did with Johnny Gill way back in the day, that was another slept on classic.

My favorite Stacy Lattisaw song is "Feel My Love Tonight". I love the rap at the end.....kinda like Teena Marie's "Square Biz". Another favorite is "Dynamite". Stacy had the slow jams too like "Let Me Be Your Angel", "Love On A Two Way Street", "Don't Throw It All Away", and "Miracles". "Attack Of The Name Game" was a jam also.....with the funky alien.

I can remember, in school, it was always Stacy Lattisaw vs. Janet Jackson. Janet first hit the scene in 1982 with "Young Love" and that's when the comparisons began.

Johnny Gill was another one. Anyone remember "Super Love"? Now that was a JAM! New Edition also came out that year with "Candy Girl".

That's when teens were talented and they didn't dominate the airwaves.
Andy is a four letter word.

When other teens were talented

"Debbie gibson" "only in my dreams" should be hailed a pop classic....amazing that she wrote it when only 16-17!)

"tevin Campbell" (Amazing almost as good as young MJ voice with tons of passion and like Mj, able to elevate an average song into a good one thanx to the pure effort he puts into them!)

That's correct. It was released in 1984 and included the three singles "Perfect Combination","Baby It's You" and "Block Party".Stacy and Johnny were actually engaged in the late 80s.

I remember seeing her live many moons ago. She was the opening act for somebody, I can't remember who. Although she had great pipes, her live show was a bit boring because all she did was walk back and forth constantly across the stage when she sang--I remember thinking that she was making me dizzy! biggrin

I love her music, I have all 3 of her cds. This was her debut album and has the songs:

Symptoms of True Love (I remember her being on Video Soul and Donnie Simpson wanted to know what she knew about True Love at her age)

Symptoms of true love
Take my breath away
Make me shake
I cannot get enough, of your kisses babe
tender touch
The symptoms of true love.

Hide and Seek

Imagine (I've heard her perform the John Lennon remake live and she did a great job)

Second album "Make The Difference" has the following songs:

Tender Kisses

Love Me (I remember this video featured Sugar Ray Leonard's fiiiine son as her love interest. The video version of the song is slightly different than the album version).

This Time Make It Funky

This House

Save Your Love

Third album released approx 10 years after her successful sophmore release (I have no idea why she waited 10 years when she was at the height of her career with the Make The Difference album).

It's All About You

Still In My Heart
Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
Just let me rock you 'til the morning liiiiiiight
It's cold outside
And much too late to driiiiiiiive
You know I need you baby

yeah Tracie was alright ("double o rythm" was wayout Janet funky and "make the difference" was cool too) but y no love 4 Debbie Gibson or Tevin Campbell.....Tevin could sing any child or even adult under the table and Debbie, despite writing very corny songs, could write some amazing stuff 4 a girl so young.....give 'em some love will ya?
