The Dead Milkmen reunite for benefit concerts

Forwarded from a mailing list I'm on - thought I'd share the news for those fellow Dead Milkmen fans out there:

Dead Milkmen are playing a double benefit show in Philadelphia. One of the
organizations to benefit is mpoweryouth.org , musicians for mental
health. The other is The Dave Blood Foundation which sends funds to a
monastery in Serbia which cares for orphaned kids, many of whom were
orphaned during the war. The show's gonna be at the Trocadero on a
Sunday. November 21st.

This will be the first time Dead Milkmen have performed live in ten years,
and the first since the death of Dead Milkman Dave Blood.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 21
@ The Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia
The Dead Milkmen
F.O.D.
Nixon's Head
A 10 year reunion benefit show
Tix: $15 / Drs:7pm / All Ages

Will they be smokin' banana peels with punk rock girls?? Seriously though, MPTV had some redeeming qualities, mainly from 88-92 when they had the ALT show during late nights, where a noob like me was hipped the Cure, R.E.M., Love & Rockets, Violent Femmes, Pixies and those Milkmen. I never became a fan of theirs, but I thought their videos were funny. Good for them, maybe they can use the dough, although I don't think they'll make much from this venture.

Opps, I just read the little sentence about one of the members death, that's sad news as always. Now I'll change my above comments, they're just being generous. What a nice gesture.

the dead milkmen were a highlight of my high school years. "Stuart" is a class stoopid song. It never fails to make me laugh.

that would be dave blood, as in "the dave blood foundation", as in one of the charities the (no pun intended/irony noted) surviving dead milkmen will be giving proceeds from their benefit concerts to.
