He is cool but, I am not a hard core fan of his. However, I do feel that he is a good musician and I liked his version of Oy e Com Va, and Black Magic Women.

Santana after Jimi was my main guitar influence. All my other guitar influences are basically Jimi and Carlos mixed. I have all of Santana's albums, cds, whatever. Yeah, I love Carlos. It's cool how he always wears brothers on his t-shirts, i.e., Jimi, Miles, etc.

There's an undergound artist who goes by the name of Carlos Satan, some of his stuff is quite decent. He has also collaborated with a person who calls himself Andy Christ.

My favorite Santana albums right now are:
(1972), and " Amigos" (1976) " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

That CD was remastered last year with a bonus track. 'Amigos' is probably the FUNKIEST thing Carlos has ever done! Songs like "Let Me" and "Tell Me Are You Tired" are straight up R&B/funk.The last track on this album---the gospel-flavored "Let It Shine"---is superb! This is the album I really want them to remaster, along with it's sensational follow-up 'Festival' (an album that deserves a thread of it's own, lol).

"Europa" is one of my favorite pieces of his. Some of the first solos I learned on the guitar was that song and damn near everything off of his first 3 albums. Neal Schon from Journey was getting down on those early albums as well. He's another childhood guitar fave of mine. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. I like how the music transistions from peaceful to almost hippied-out by "Just in Time to See the Sun". I really need to increase my Santana collection
