i really dig los lobos' music but the problem is i don't have any names of their songs i just listen as i go along. i need some suggestions as to what is their best music to pick up. i don't know any spanish but i don't care. and also does any body know what instrumental at the end of "desparado"? i know it's them but once again i have no titles.

"Kiko" is by far their best album....A quirky and awesomely produced album.....Tchad Blake and Mitchell Froom added just the right amount of space and noice to create an alt-rock-mex sound.....

they took this quirk even further on their collaborations under the name "Latin Playboys" of which Wendy & Lisa are credited as "Latin Playgirls" on their second disc...

Los Lobo's newest release "The Ride" is an interesting duets type album..It features Mavis Staples, Elvis Castello, Ruben Blades and a slew of other people on lead vocals...Not as consistent as "Kiko" but fun none the less....
Space for sale...

I second the Kiko suggestion highly. HIGHLY. And there's also their album Colossal Head album that you should check out. If only these guys weren't pigeonholed into that band that sang "La Bamba" they might get the mainstream recognition they deserve...but then again, probably not because their music contains too much quality to ever have a place on mainstream radio in this era. They rely on non-traditional arrangements are more than adept at transitions into many styles. They're a band worth any serious music fan's attention. Los Lobos is the real deal.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
