If someone were to do another LILITH FAIR this decade..what would your dream line-up be??? I went to all 3 Lilith Fair's from '97-'99 and though I was sad to see it go. I thought it was smart thing to do and not let it dry out the way other summer festivals did (HORDE, Lollapalooza).
Sarah McLachlan has stated that she is not up for putting this tour together again but if someone were to take the reins...by all means go for it. I would love to see it come back for at least another 2 summers and showcase the most talented women in music today from ALL genres. It's been 5 years and there has been some very talented artists who arrived since then or came into their own. With the oversexed images we now see on MTV/VH-1...dont you think it's time we get a bunch of real artists up there and show these tarts how it's really done? My dream line-up would consisit of some hot newcomers and would be cool to team up with those that did the Fair in the past. Most of the gals from the past Fair's are still going strong and still making amazing and vital music.... Here's my picks Jill Scott, Sarah McLachlan(if she'd participate as a guest), Dido, Dixie Chicks, Fiona Apple, India.arie, Nikka Costa, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Floetry, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones (too mellow I know, but we could fit her in right?), Sheryl Crow, M'Shell N'Degeocello, The Donnas, Allison Krauss & Union Station, Indigo Girls, Anouska Shankar,Tracey Chapman, Toby Lightman, Patti Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Lila Downs, Lhasa, Bebel Gilberto, Les Nubians Any others? Any hot up and coming Hip Hop artists? I'm out of the loop there peace [Edited 9/22/04 18:07pm] Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Most of the people already mentioned would be on my list. Can't forget Kate Bush though. or Tina Turner....I think she'd still be able to pull it off.
They really do need to do another Lilith Fair. Shows like these are just empowering to me. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I like JANFAN's list, but my choices would be Me'Shell, Res, Jill Scott, Sade, Cassandra Wilson, Amel Larrieux and Erykah Badu.
But that's a short list. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I'd much rather see this one than any of the other lineups listed. Add these: Scarling My Ruin Kittie The Start The Dishes Erase Eratta Sahara Hotnights Horrorpops The Sounds And from the original post, The Donnas and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs wouldn't be caught dead at anything even remotely Lilith.

Ani Difranco, although she has stated she hates the idea.
Bitch & Animal, although they'd probably be booed off the stage. Keep your headphones on.
