I love Geri's solo albums. I'm so looking forward to the new one which is supposed to be out relatively soon.
For awhile there, she was way too skinny though. I hope she never goes back to the microbiotic diets. | |

Mel C??? Her weight problems are worse than Geri's! And Geri didn't break up the Spice Girls. They could have had continued success without her if any of them had a personality. Without Geri, they were borrrriiiiing. Zzzzzz. | |

i know that's right!! besides, everyone knows it was mel b's pissy attitude that got the best of geri and gave her reason to leave the group. once geri was gone, the group lacked any sense of personality or character. | |

From what I've observed, it was indeed Geri flaking out that dissolved The Spice Girls. As Mel C was said, when she bailed things were good. She didn't even do the US tour with the girls.
When Geri left, it was like the center cut out of the whole. Like the girls admit, Geri was good for image and coming up with ideas for the group. When she flaked, it was like a vaccuum. The image of sisterhood was destroyed. Of course Mel B and Geri didn't get along, but Mel B didn't desert the group, Geri did. It would've been nice if both bratty girls would've grew up and gotten along but whatever. As far as Mel C, yes I feel her more then Geri for the mere fact that she has a great song in her repetoire in the "I Turn To You" dance mix. Geri is a desaster. Geri left the Spice Girls because they refused to let her do some breast cancer interviews. Geri had already had a tumor removed from her breast so the subject was very important to her--more important than the Spice Girls apparently. That's why she left--not because she was "flaking out".
