songs with an air of mystery?

I dunno.I'm not a literate man,but there are some tunes that have a little something strange/cool/mysterious to them. This is just what's on my mind right now:
night boat-duran duran
tel aviv-
the chauffeur-
friends of mine-
new religion-

to look at you-inxs

eyes w/out a face-idol
fatal charm-
don't needa gun- (idol's songs have this to a lesser extent)

something in the water-prince
annie christian-
euphoria highway-
dreamin' about u-
god(instrumental)-

mlk-u2

behind my camel-the police
secret journey-
shambelle-
darkness-
walking in your footsteps-
does everyone stare-

moon over bourbon street-sting
i burn for you(live)-
lullaby to an anxiouschild-
the wild wild sea-
when the angels fall-

shambala-beastie boys
something's gotta give-

third stone from the sun-hendrix

hell is around the corner-tricky
ponderosa-
christiansands-
pumpkin-
poems-

Damn, there are a lot more than I realized!I could go on and on.Theses were the initial tunes i had in my head, though.

drool You listed Duran Duran first! love2

worship Great list. I can't think of any more right now... too early. I will say that I love music from India: tablas, sitars, the vocals... Oh hey, what about Enigma? Deep Forest? nod

Hey gypsy, I KNEW u were going to list SOMETHING from The Mac or solo Stevie. Carry that torch! U know P and Ms. Nicks dated for a while back in 83. And P played keyboards on "Stand Back" but he's not credited.

UptownDeb

Just thought about Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe". Song about this guy who jumped off the Talahatchie (sp?) bridge in Tennessee (?) in 1953. Why he jumped is a mystery. I think he also tossed something off the bridge too. I've always been puzzled by this one. I remember the tv movie with Robbie Benson.
