Have a great time,Gooey. You're gonna love this show,it's incredible. This is Madonna's best tour. The highlights for me....

"Nobody Knows Me" ---during this song,Madonna is cool and confident, strutting across the stage in those black leather boots, dancing up a storm on the conveyer belt. She has the audience in the palm of her hands, and she knows it.

"American Life" ---so much is going on during this song,it's a riveting performance!

"Express Yourself" ---this is a charming,military-themed performance.

"Deeper and Deeper" ---the "jazzy" portion of the show. You'll see what I mean lol

"Die Another Day" ---the best choreography of the whole show

"Like A Prayer" ---be ready to stand up,clap and sing along.Madonna's gonna take you to church...lol....the crowd goes NUTS during this song!

"Into The Groove" ---the bagpiper guy...Missy making a cameo on the video screens...and those "sticks" that Madonna and her dancers are playing with....this is a fun, inspired performance.

The whole show is amazing, but those are the highlights, imo.I can't wait to read your review wink

I saw her in Paris on Saturday and she was utterly amazing. It was one of the best nights of my life. I nearly pulled my boy's arm off when she strutted down that gantry towards me.

Have a great show, Gooey!

What were the highlights for you? How does this tour stack up the other tours (in your opinion)? Give me your review!

For me the highlight was having her ten feet away from me on that gantry... I started telling people on the metro line back to our hotel after the show!

I think this totally outdid Drowned World. I loved the use of the video screens at the back - even though some of the imagery she used was quite shocking it all had a place in the show. I loved hearing the old stuff - particularly as she seemed to actually enjoy singing it this time rather than going through the motions for us.

Musical highlights were American Life which was outstanding; Into the Groove - even if it is just for the bagpipe guy who was magic; Nothing Fails and Vogue.

I was slightly disappointed with Like A Prayer - mainly because I don't think Siedah Garrett's voice is anything near Nikki Harris and I think the song is perfect as it is and didn't need the new mix.

I also thought that Imagine was badly let down by such a big bass line. It's such a simple song and it felt overblown to me. The sentiment in it was appreciated though - especially given the tragic events of last week. She didn't mention Beslan on Saturday but her speech about the beauty and relevance of the song to today's world was very genuine.

Classic moment on Saturday was when a fan threw a teddy bear on stage. She picked it up and said "Is this all I get? I like diamonds" and tossed it back laughing.

All in all, she looked absolutely beautiful and was so full of energy. Her voice was the strongest I have ever heard it and she genuinely seemed to be enjoying it. My boy, who is not a Madonna fan - but puts up with my fanaticism - thought it was one of the most professional shows he had ever seen. And I even caught him singing along to "Burning Up" and "Into the Groove".

The crowd was great - fans from all over the place - Britain, Holland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia. There were loads of bars in the area around the arena that had put on her videos and were playing her music before the show and wandering round in my tour t-shirt I really felt like part of a gang - giving little smiles and nods to people who were also wearing Madonna gear. It was a great atmosphere.

Being a fan I am obviously slightly biased but given the show I saw on Saturday I really don't think that any critic can deny her credit. There is no one like her.

I remember in Oakland on the Drowned World Tour (September 5,2001),a fan tossed a teddy bear onstage right before "Don't Tell Me".She kicked it off the stage, and said "Don't throw your shit at me"...lol...

My favorite moment was when everything stopped, the lights went down, and she sang Frozen while standing still and alone on stage. For me, that was much more powerful than all the pyrotechnics and acrobatics. But ever since seeing her in early June, I have a renewed appreciation of Madonna. She is quite an artist. She deserves everything she gets.

More than likely CBS will back out of the airing the show.... Having problems meeting the contract obligations.... and there are no pyrotechincs in the show... Madonna has never done that... it takes away from her.

Okay, I didn't mean pyrotechnics, just as a manner of speaking. I meant paraphernalia -- props, costumes, people, video monitors, imagery. Her shows are sensory overload. Just my opinion. Not that it's bad or anything.

I'm bitter and jealous!!!! I wanna see Madonna tonight!!!!

Have a great time!!!! I'm in complete agreement that it's her best tour. I had heard mixed reviews, so I kept waiting to be disappointed, and instead kept getting blown away. I like Prince a lot better than I like Madonna, but I MUCH preferred Re-Invention to Musicology.
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

Yeah I liked Re-invention better than Musicology, but Madonna has been my idol since i was a kid and she was the first artist i collected albums from. And i've never seen Madonna live cause she skipped out on Toronto with her Drowned World Tour.
Musicology was much better musically while Re-invention was a much more theatrical experience.

My favorite parts of the show were

a) The Beast within- solely cause the tension was building among the crowd as we all sat on the edges of out seats.

b) Vogue- I will never forget because everyone literally flew out of their seats and i was going deaf with the screaming. And i saw her the first time in my life, her beauty and all.

c) Nobody Knows Me- David said it all

d) Like a Prayer- I wish Madonna was my minister and took me to church like that every week. Everyone was singing and it was like the whole fucking crowd was a church choir- My top Madonna song also

e) Papa Don't Preach- I wish i caught her "Kabbalists do it best" T-shirt It would of been full of Madonna's sweat- how lovely, i would sniff it and never wash it

f) Express Yourself- The military theme and all- PERFECT

g) Music- Mr. DJ was inside the glowing steps!!!!!

I was angry that "Holiday" was sortta crap compared to the creativity she usually puts into that song. And on top of that, when she was jumping up the stairs on the catwalk SHE TRIPPED!!! She laughed it off but she must have been hurt cause she fell hard.

By the way where was Nikki Harris???? Does she hate Madge now?

The show didn't feature her usual Nikki and Donna dancing along with her routine. I know Donna was there but singing backup.

Niki and Donna haven't been heavily featured since the Drowned World tour. Donna and Sideah were in the AL EY HP D&D NF DTM LAP PDP M and Holiday. They were used more in previous tours because of Madonna's Voice was weaker

Niki's real name is Donna Nichole Harris... Donna Delory wasn't supposed to be in the Who's That Girl Tour, but was a replacement for another singer after she quit... Donna knew Patrick Leonard.

The rumors of why Niki wasn't on tour range from Drug Problem, Weight Issues, Niki has always had a little more than everyone else, Niki dissagreed with Madders on the songs and prestation of Drowned World, and that Madders was tired of Niki always trying to ham it up

Better than Musicology!!!! Well I guess that make sense if you like spectacles... Put that woman on a stripped down stage like the Musicology stage where she would carry on a 3 hour plus show on just pure talent as a performer alone minus all that bullshit. Please!!! Ain't going to happen, won't going to happen, never going to happen.....

The moral of the story is performers like Prince (for example) can do it on just the music and pure jammin!!! No 50 dancers....No broadway spectacles and overhead so damn high you have to pay $300.00 freaking dollars!!!!

Saw her in Arnhem last night and it was really a great show. The sound sucked though (but that's always with this venue).

This woman can perform and man has she grown into that since the last time I saw her (1989).

One side remark : This venue was too big was the details of this show. I heard that Bercy had the excellent size for a bit intimacy.

Ok, so Madonna and Prince are my favorite of all time (ARTISTS) and I've been loving them both since I was age 7!

Madonna is a leo, so am i.
Madonna is a detroit native, so am i.
Madonna is a great business woman, so am ...huh...ok thats not me! lol

anyways...I love her and I really wish I got the chance to see her live for the Re-Invention Tour.
but I didn't, I seen PRINCE 6x already this year!
So Maddy not coming to DETROIT, this year...messed the chances of me seeing her 300$ a ticket show!

I've always admired her dancing skills, ppl often say she can't dance...but as long as I've been a fan, Ive always loved seeing her dance.
She's awesome, she was granted a dance scholarship to U of Michigan, when she decided to leave Michigan for NYC, she trained with some of NYC's best dancers...she is a great dancer.
After seeing a clip of her performance for 'NOBODY KNOWS ME', it showed all those naysayers and ONLY BRITNEY can dance, how a real dancer does it!

She free styled on the stage like no other and made it work gracefully!
DAMN I want that on DVD NOW!!!
Madonna make Britney look like a pussy!

Madonna you betta dance DIVA!

I saw both Musicology and Re-Invention. Musicology absolutely blew me away. Re-Invention sort of irritated me. Being a musician myself, I want to hear musicians goin' at it. I had problems with some of Madonna's imagery (I know, that's the point) and actually got a little bored. But that's just me and I saw Madonna just four days after Prince so it's not really fair to compare. She's cool. She's cool. smile
