anybody else shocked New Kids On The Block didn't reunite? not that i was a super-duper fan of theirs, but i was a little shocked/disappointed they didn't reunite. only 2 out of 5 were interested...guess this doesn't bode well for lipSync and Backstreet Boys you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I didn't really care if the New Kids reunited or not (honestly, I think we were done a big favor by the majority decision), but I watched out of curiosity. I admit I was surprised -- I expected three of the original five to sign on, but VH1 only got two.
The problem with these shows is that you know up front whether or not the band is going to reunite. If VH1 can't round up all the members, the show is 30 minutes. If all the members agree to a reunion, the show lasts an hour.

figures that the one with actual talent would be in favor of getting back together. the ones who declined make me wonder if they realized they could never sing in the first place so, thus, why embarass themselves further. you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I missed it...which two were in favor of a reunion? I knew they would'nt reunite because Jonathan (Jordan's brother) was on Oprah a while ago and he suffers from panic/anxiety attacks. I felt so sorry for him because he was practically in tears on Oprah trying to hold it together. Jordan was also on Oprah and said that he used to suffer from it as well and his condition is no where near as bad as it was. New Kids on The Block would receive awards and Jonathan would'nt come on stage and the rest of the band would have to make excuses (i.e. he's under the weather etc.). Anxiety/Panic attacks are no joke. I've experienced it on more than one occassion and I had no idea it was panic/anxiety attack until much later. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something and was rushed to the hospital, by the time I got there my eyes were completely swollen like someone had beat the hell out of me, my vision was blurred etc. it's like your whole body is malfunctioning at one time and you have no control. Jordan and Joey have released solo efforts, Donnie is acting like his brother Marky Mark and I have'nt seen Danny since NKOTB hayday. Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
Just let me rock you 'til the morning liiiiiiight It's cold outside And much too late to driiiiiiiive You know I need you baby I'm so lost without your love Mariah Carey - Stay The Night

Donnie walberg was alright but did not sing leads on their later cuts....."Dirty dawg", a track produced and arranged by Donnie is still a jam.....by the way, Donnie was the boy who kills Bruce Willis in "the sixth sense".....good acting there too
A reunion would be cool, though Danny was pretty average and Jon just always looked so gay.....people thought Jorden was gay of course.....Jorden,Donnie and Joey r cool (though Joey's voice before it broke was dreadfull) and they should put Marky mark in their too.....that would be a cool band

I'd say relief, rather than shock/disappointment, was my initial reaction.

I'm not surprised that they didn't reunite, but who didn't sign on. I thought Jonathan would be the lone holdout, just because he was the first to leave the first time. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

hope i get their names right... jordan knight, the one who re-did ICNTTPOYM, said yes, as he was already milking the NKOTB thing on the vegas circuit anyway jonathan knight, the one with the panic attacks (jordan's brother), said yes. joey mcintyre, declined, declined, saying if they got back together it would be on THEIR terms, not VH1 (as if anybody was knocking on his door to do anything else) danny wood wouldn't even get on camera, said he left all that behind him. donnie wahlberg declined, off camera, saying he was an "actor" now the thing was they led off with the two that said "yes", and then made you sit through 20 minutes of commercials and innuendo for the others to say no. that's how you keep an idiot in suspense lol you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I'm not surprised. It's really too soon and they all have other things going on.I don't think any of them are hurting for cash, either. I was, disappointed with the English Beat. They had most of the band together. They should have just done their "official" show as The English Beat.Hell,ABC played with just 2 members and sounded great. I was really disappointed with the English Beat. I was disappointed with English Beat and ABC (though they did sound with the two). Excellent groups. They are having a hard time with this round of bands. The only successful one was the Motels. I'm not surprised with new kids. They wern't even a band and plus not enough time has elapsed. They should have used that slot for Simple Minds or Missing Persons.
