Michael Jackson Got to be there

I was listening to this song the other day Michael Jackson voice is like an angel definitely a gift from God. The way he hit those note so effortlessly is truly amazing this is the Michael Jackson that I know and love, his time at Motown produce some of the best music to come out of the 70,s. Chaka khan versions is ok, but it does not compare to Michael's.

I definitely think Michael was at his vocal peak in his childhood years. But I prefer his adult sound, and I also prefer the material he wrote himself. For my money Destiny, Off the Wall, Triumph and Thriller are among the best dance oriented R&B albums of all time, if not THE best.

Agree, but sometimes I think his Motown yrs are overlooked, also some people on the org think that Thriller is frist solo album.

Truly one of the Kings of Pop. I think after his Dangerous album it kinda went down hill.

technically his best ever vocal performances imo are, Who's Loving You(live), and Earth Song. When you just think he's at the peak of his voice, it just gets higher.

In terms of emotion I gotta say Dirty Diana, Man In The Mirror, They Don't Care About Us. You just feel his anger and pain down in your stomach. headbang

Micheal's voice was truly a gift from God when he was a kid. clapping Seems like when he got older and left Motown, we were introduced to a whole new world of speech impediments such as "cha'mon," "gadaddda" and "whoo-hoo." confused

What happend? What happened I say?! fit

I agree. The whole album is killing. But yeah, Michael's vocals on this song is strong. So is "I Wanna Be Where You Are" which is as good or better.

This is one of my favorite songs by anybody, and yes his voice is magic. Chaka did a good job with it too. With a Child's Heart is great too. I've been giving MJ and his fans shit, because of senseless comparisons to you know who but when it comes to singing MJ as a child had everyone beat. The funny thing is I still like his voice and his little "Sha-mon"s. I also like that he created an interesting signature style of singing once his voice changed. As it turns out he was a great songwriter too. If only he could play instruments. wink
