Sade fans...where are you? I know that there has to be some Sade fans out there. By the way did you pick up Sweetback Stage 2 and Cottonbelly's X Amounts of Niceness? These two releases are both nice holdovers until the next Sade record. Sweetback being the Sade band with other vocalists (on this release Chocolate Genius, Aya, Ladybug of Digable Planets.) Cottonbelly is Stuart Matthewman's project (saxaphone/guitar of Sade), these are the best remixes he did between 1993 and 2004. Some of everything from Maxwell to Cirque du Soliel. I highly recommend both of these releases...you won't be disappointed.

Sade definitely brought class and elegance to pop, soul, and jazz. I miss hearing voice. I will be glad when she releases another album.

I would marry that woman at first sight. She is an extraordinary beauty and she is a fantastic singer, one of my very favorite singers. My favorite tracks:

I was at one of the 2 shows taped for the DVD -- and I still haven't seen it!!!! INCREDIBLE SHOW!!!! I expected a mellow, sit back, enjoy the groove show -- and it kicked my ass. I saw Prince, Madonna and Sade in 2001. My favorite? Sade, by a long shot. And I'm a BIG Prince/Madonna whore!!!! Anyway -- love, love, love Sade. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

I'm a huge Sade fan!! but I think people over hype her vocal talents! she's got a great tone to her voice but lacks range. the "SADE" project is a bit contrived ,"cool by numbers" they are meant to be a jazz/funk band for pedestrian music listeners. still I love what she does. just my opinion [Edited 9/2/04 18:23pm]

[Edited 9/2/04 18:23pm] I don't know about the funk part of that but they do what they do well. Her voice is unique and it works. The music dictates the voice necessary. Whitney Houston and Patti Labelle have/had crazy range but it wouldn't work as well. I agree that the band is contrived but that isn't such a bad thing in this case. Anyway, I too love Sade's music and her in that dress. "Is it A Crime" is so good it hurts. My other favorites include War Of The Hearts, Jezebel, and anything off of Love Deluxe.

Where are we? Everywhere! Sade's one of those musicians who are impossible to hate, like Paul Simon.
