He's been an inspiration since I was a child and not recognized enough for his abilities.

I had to learn the first 2 Ozzy albums that he did from beginning to end when I first started playing and while I've changed in musical tastes, I still practice Randy's stuff.

I dug Randy more than Edward even though VH was great. Those two made a big difference in rock guitar playing. And RR was doing the classical stuff before inflated Yngwie.

You can actually get your picking technique together with Randy's stuff.

Like the appregio in the "Over The Mountain" solo. If you tap your feet or use a metronome slowly it helps. The C#m chord outlined at 18th fret.

"Tonight" is my favorite solo by Randy although I enjoy everything he and Ozzy did while he was here.

I'm not too sure about getting the Blizzard and Diary re-releases where they re-recorded the bass and drums with new guys. I don't like the idea of that.

Randy is one of my fave guitarists. One of my guitars is a black V with white polk a dots all over it, because of Randy. I have some of his stuff with Quiet Riot before he joined Ozzy. He has an influence on my playing and was one of the cats I learned from.
