From your list, I would choose "Before I Let Go" by Frankie Beverly and Maze.

My two favorite cookout songs are:

Hot Fun In The Summertime - Sly and the Family Stone
I'm So Glad That It's Summer Again - Larry Graham

Yep! thumbs up!

How 'bout "Stone Soul Picnic?" biggrin

Funny, I just came back from food shopping. I was in front of a woman who had cart full of food. I said, "So, where's the cookout?" (I know, I always talk to strangers. confused ) She told me where and that it was a memorial to her son. sad Anyway, I haven't been to one in ages. Oh, and block parties where the joint way back when, too!
