Growing up asian , I can tell you that ALOT of second generation asian girls dig ONLY white guys and often will die their hair colors that only cucasions have naturally.

Think of me--Who represented me when I was growing up? Bruce Lee (a super hero style character) and Long Duck Dong. All the dudes getting chicks where white. I never even saw a minority in a "kissing" scene in the movies until Purple Rain, and Prince was kissing a "white" woman..

I think blacks have really matured in redifining the mass media's perception of beauty--the problem is that Beonce'(with her blond hair), LiL Kim (with her blue contacts), and all the girls in Ebony magazine don't represent most black women.

Hispanics are, to me, the true champions of redifining beauty. Their influence is everywhere. I mean the "Brats" doll line is taking a real chunk of Barbie's revenues and girls are becoming less ashamed of their lips, eyes, and body figures thanks to these types of influences. But we still have a LONG way to go. Luci Lu , Tyra Banks, and Jay-Lo can't do it all for us.
