Nina Simone - 'In The Morning' isn't this song just about the most perfect song? the way nina sings it and the fact that it's such a cool track?

Love it! "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" will always be my favorite.
That one's a masterpiece.

Beautiful.
My current favourite is 'Sinnerman'. Simply breathtaking. "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
"YEAH!!!" "Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

Don't think I know it. I love "My Baby Just Cares For Me." Her daughter played "Aida" on broadway. (She was the one in the commercial, the one with locks.)

"Four Women"
My hair rise when she finish that song with "What do they call me? My name iiiisssss PEEACHEEEEES!" Goddness, she is so damn expressive. A stylist if you will, like Billie Holiday she ain't got a great instrument but she sho know how to use what she got and get her message across with so much easiness. And she's such an underrated pianist. Her piano solo in "I Loves You Porgy" is the highlight of that song and also the solo in "Sinnerman" which is fuckin' naughty as hell. I miss that lady to my core ya'll. [This message was edited Fri Aug 20 10:19:45 2004 by Harlepolis]

god bless that crazy bitch. That's a Bee Gees song. Their own version is real sweet, too.
