Ive seen and met Kylie many times, and this show was just in-fucking-creadible. Still say it's one of the best gigs I've ever attended. We got SO pissed that nite too! But when she played The Crying Game section, and let rip in the reprise.... I bawled my eyes out - it was SO moving. Unreal... and just bloody awesome! She can certainly carry a tune, but she's hardly a gifted vocalist. She has an insignificant wisp of a voice that carries little to no impact. Good lord, if Kylie Minogue can move you to tears, a genuinely talented vocalist like Diamanda Galas ought to be able to put you in a straight-jacket.

No, he's not saying she's a strong vocalist, he says she evoked emotion in him. So? Some people cry over Bjork, I do not. End of story. I'm not gonna begrudge them or make fun of them for that. P.S. Did you download the files and give them a listen? Because that reprise is very nicely done - she may surprise you. [This message was edited Mon Aug 23 16:05:18 2004 by VoicesCarry]

If Kylie is so rubbish, why did Prince help her co-write 'Baby Doll'?
This was back in 1993, by the way... Talking of ping-pong: that Prince story. The mechanics of how Prince and Kylie met tells a great deal about the real avenues and byways of the celebrity life. The introduction was effected not through the heads of record companies, or through managers, but because Kylie and Prince share the same drivers, the same security people. Kylie was ushered backstage at a London concert, and they hit it off well enough for Prince to into the studio for a social visit while he was in town. When she turned up, "there were a few jokes flying around", she recalls. 'Where do you want your mic set up!' 'Where are your lyrics? Come on!' So the next time she met him, she handed him some lyrics she had written, entitled "Baby Doll": "Sugar and spice and all things nice/Come and show me paradise/Let me be your baby doll." He took it away and came back with a finished song, Prince singing Kylie's lyrics. (She sings me a little, Prince-style falsetto. Nice tune.) They talk on the telephone every now and then. Sometimes he calls, sometimes she does. Maybe, sometime in the future, they'll record that song. Maybe a whole album. Did he know much about you when you met? "I don't think he knew much, or at least he didn't let on. But he did mention one quote which I said some time back, about him being 'sex on a stick'. Which is funny now that I know him." The conceited bastard. What did you say? "I think I feigned ignorance, as if I didn't know what he was talking about. Which he probably saw right through." I think he likes flattery. "He certainly does, so it probably scored me a point or two." So you became friends. "I went to Minneapolis for a while and hung out there. In the studio. [laughs] I'm sure my story could match many other girls' stories. To a point, I must add." To what point? "The point before anything really interesting starts to happen." Did you become another of his pop conquests? "No. [more firmly] No." Was it apparent that he wanted you to become one? "Not exactly." Because he is famous for... "Famous for being fresh! [laughs] But who wants to be on that list!?" Was it at all flattering? "It is, until you stop and think, 'Hang on, I wonder how many other girls have been lured to Minneapolis?' If that's what he enjoys, fine, but I'm interested in him and his music, not the rest of it." Did you go to his house? "Yes, I did. It's interesting. The style, only Prince can carry off. I shouldn't tell you too much. We had a game of table tennis." Did you beat him? "No. He's very good. I consider myself quite good at both pool and table tennis, and he slaughtered me. I wasn't even in the running with the cool. I let myself down there. With the table tennis, he let me think I was doing all right, then..." What were the scores? "I can't remember, but glorious flying leap, trying to do an almost impossible return and landing in the shagpile." Right where he wanted you. "[laughs] No. But that is my fondest memory of Prince." http://www.newplanet.fsne...ace94.html

She's one of us. I just know that I could get drunk and silly with her and she wouldn't mind at all. She's not horse-faced at all. Who called her horse-faced? She has slightly large upper teeth. Sarah fucking Jessica Parker is horse-fucking-faced. Celine fucking Dion is horse faced. Sarah Jessica Parker is basically Marilyn Manson in drag. LOL Damn. You hit it right on the head on the head with this one. Sarah definitely lacks in the looks department and has a striking resemblence to Marilyn. "We're all stars now in the dope show." This is a very good question and one in which I have no idea what the answer is. Admittedly I am a whore to a few of her pop cuts, I can't help it. But i can't get behind her whole body of work, which some people seem to be obsessed over. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Kylie jazzes it up - By Natacha Butler - August 25, 2004
Smooth ... Kylie plans to get sultry and refined. Perky songbird Kylie Minogue is set to reinvent herself once again ditching sexy pop to record an album of smooth, sultry, jazz tunes. The 'Chocolate' singer also plans to perform the grown-up songs in intimate "smoky clubs" rather than sell-out arenas. According to British tabloid The Sun the 36-year-old star feels the time may have come to slip out of the micro-minis and take her career in a more classy direction. "Kylie will release a greatest-hits album first but then a jazzy album. She wants a more grown-up sound to reflect how she has matured," a friend said. "She’s still going for a sexy look but is 36 and wants to be more refined." Kylie, who has dabbled with live jazz versions of Santa Baby and Better The Devil You Know, has already been busy working on some tracks for the forthcoming album. "Kylie has recorded a few tracks ... and they sound brilliant. Her fans are in for a very pleasant surprise," the friend said. The new direction is sure to be welcomed by her legion of fans but it may put the chart-topper's relationship with French hunk Olivier Martinez under more strain. Workaholic Kylie recently revealed she planned to make more time for Olivier after the actor was spotted cavorting in St Tropez with shapely actress Michelle Rodriguez. Olivier, 38, and Michelle, 26, who co-starred in S.W.A.T last year, have been pictured having fun together jet-skiing and partying on P. Diddy's yacht in the glamorous French seaside resort. Kylie denied reports the relationship was on the rocks but conceded she needed to be around her Gallic lover more in the future. "I've decided to make some changes so that I can make sure there's time for me and Olivier," she said. Kylie must be hoping her foray into the jazz world doesn't clash with her sizzling hot French affair. NEWS.com.au

I understand you have your opinions about Kyle, but I think she is hot and I love the lyrics to her songs as well as like to dance to them. Of course, she is no comparison to Prince; a real Musician and artist! "THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!"

There are some keywords that you used in your post a real musician and artist neither applies to her. Again , I will have to say that she fits in well with the other pop female artists (mediocre vocals, good body/face, and banging music tracks).
