I hate to admit the brutal truth. Hell, I am just going to say it anyway. Kylie is just like the rest of the pop non-talented broads (Britney,Ashanti, J-lo just to name a few). LOL
Kylie is basically a performance artist. She's may not be the greatest singer, musician or dancer but she's KYLIE for fuck's sake. I don't think that anywhere outside of Europe, gets her at all. Not even Australasia. She's hugely popular in Australia.

She's one of us. I just know that I could get drunk and silly with her and she wouldn't mind at all. She's not horse-faced at all. Who called her horse-faced? She has slightly large upper teeth. Sarah fucking Jessica Parker is horse-fucking-faced. Celine fucking Dion is horse faced. Sarah Jessica Parker is basically Marilyn Manson in drag.

But don't you know your Kylie history? She did the Locomotion as a one-off, and it got a single release in '87 in Australia, which is the Neighbours home base. It was so unexpectedly successful they rerecorded and remixed it for single release in Europe, then rereleased it in Australia. So she cut an album with SAW, and the rest is history. Meh...it's paint-by-numbers Euro-trash pop. Begin with an obvious dance beat (is there any other kind?), add a predictable melody....it's a very unremarkable song. [This message was edited Sun Aug 22 13:41:30 2004 by flipwilson]

I wasn't being serious, of course - she's certainly not poisonous to look at. I'd certainly rather leer at her than listen to her by-the-books robo-pop.

People like what they like. I know what you mean though. There's this guy named Prince. Almost been around as long as Kylie ..no where near as talented though. I've heard rumours that he asked to record a song with her too. But for some reason people go ballistic. I just don't get it. I mean He's somewhat easy on the eyes..but definitely nothing to write home about. He's just like all the other teen pop crap out there..a poor man's Justin Timbershit. I just don't get it. Got a little present for you CalhounSq As if I wasn't gonna vomit before

Here is. Kylie has met downs and lows in her life, which formed her into the beautiful creature personality wise she is now.
To me she is a heroe, cuz she does what she wants and does it in a sublime way. She plays with fashion and trend like Madonna does but keeps humour involved. Madonna is inapproachable, while you can have a chat with Kylie like she is just the girl next door. She is down to earth and fun to fans and non fans alike. And her music since Light Years is on a higher level than that of Madonna, Janet Jackson or Britney Spears, as she gives what is needed. Every album since has been a delight, even if I have just two out of those three.

So, to quote Madonna herself; she's got style, she's got grace.
In addition, she gives good face. And ass.

Well, Robert says a lot of things that are total bullshit nowdays. He was probably referring to the fact that Kylie is known as a sex symbol, as he was back in the day. It was kind of a running joke within the band about Robert. John Bonham used to tease him and once said, "Hey, all you have to do is go up there and shake your ass a bit. No one cares if YOU miss a note." But ANYWAY, this thread is about Kylie, not Robert, so I will now [This message was edited Mon Aug 23 6:32:19 2004 by minneapolisgenius] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven
