I don't necessarily know that that's why their old videos don't show up on tv, how often are other hip hop group's (who don't champion Black consciousness) old videos on tv? In the aftermath of Griff's comments mtv still showed their videos for a while, including one protesting Arizona's disregard for MLK's birthday ("By The Time I Get To Arizona"). I just think that it's not fashionable for Black consciousness in hip hop today - on video stations in general. Unfortunately, due to the music marketing zeitgeist consciousness in the mainstream became a fad.
