I don't know, I see your points, comedy paper and shit, but for some reason this hit me as hard as Ray Charles, if not harder cause Rick was much younger and making a semi-comeback.

I know I should put it in perspective, but damn I would rather see a resurgence and appreciation of his music (which may happen) then making joke of it. The funk world would be a very different place without Rick's contribution's to music.

And it's so easy to go for that tasteless humor when it's a black artist who dies, but you don't see it if its Kurt Cobain or someone like that. (Just my opinion of course, don't want to start a racism discussion)
