Y'all tellin me that I need to get out and vote, huh. Why?
Ain't nobody black runnin but crackers, so, why I got to register?
I thinkin of better shit to do with my time
Never smelled aroma of diploma, but I write the deep ass rhymes
So let me take ya way, back to when a nigga stayed in Southwest Atlanta,
Y'all could not tell me nuthin, thought I hit that bottom rock

If you're under the pessimistic impression that your vote is worthless, then I can see how this would be true. Prince and Andre believe the same thing. They are entertainers, so how much can you put in their opinions regarding politics, etc.?
Exercising the right to vote is about more than who you vote for. Its about using your right to choose. It stands to reason that people who don't vote during Presidental elections don't vote on lobbies, local laws, etc. Ultimately, one's vote is the only thing standing in the way of fatcat bureaucrats completely ruling over everything. Not voting is throwing away your legal chance for change. Why the world anyone would encourage that is beyond me.
We (black folks & other minorities) need to loose this nonsensical attitude that just because half the people running for office aren't our color that it doesn't concern us. Like I said, its about choosing to CHOOSE. That kind of thinking is progressive, as opposed to the helpless thinking that nothing we do matters.

I saw the clip live and it was more embarassing for Maher than Dre. Maher tried to improv off Dre, but Dre was too uninformed about things to give a snappy retort. By his own admissions, Dre knew he wasn't knowlegable. Maher scrambled to prevent the spot from going flat and said as much. He's used to performing live off stuff like that.

Given Dre's forthright stance, there's no embarassment. It would have been different if he was confrontational and tried to support "not voting". It simply didn't go down like that. Dre said he knew he needed to get out and vote this time around.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. Bill Maher kept trying to get Andre to talk in more than 2 or three sentence spurts. Andre came across like a cat that is pretty shallow. Hell, maybe he is

Yeah,I saw that and Andre is not a great public speaker.I really think he's kinda' shy so why he accepted that gig I have no idea.I saw it earlier tonight, tooand Steve Harvey was pretty stupid and pointless on there. These guys are just fish out of water.

DL Hughley and Chris Rock are always great on shows like this because they actually communicate their thoughts and have something on their minds. Andre is talented and I love him,but I think he's just a good ol' Jawaja boy in designer duds. People think that media success means that a person should have meaningful things to say. It's why I was surprised that Prince chose Outkast to help induct him. They are just not expressive as speakers.

WELL FOR THAT ANDRE DO GOOD JOB

IT BOG BOI WHO EMBARRASS SELF

BIG BOI LIKE

PRINCE SAY F WORD IN EROTIC CITY!
