I just read that Monica & Brandy are teaming up again for a song called "What's He To You?". Said to be part two of "The Boy Is Mine". Anyone heard this?

I thought I was the only one who called Britney and Christina the white Brandy and Monica. Well, except that both Brandy and Monica can sing, and only Christina has a voice worth paying for. We all know why people buy Britney's shit....err, I mean music. Tits & Ass anyone?

BRANDY and

It's pretty crazy that Brandy and Monica have had albums out in the last year and are struggling to sell. Just a couple years ago they were the hottest singers around. They both did have a huge gap between albums (Monica-5 years and Brandy-4 years) and in that time a number of female r&b singers filled the gap and in this fickle time....when they returned...people had moved on. For someone who doesn't really listen to the radio anymore....I do think Brandy's new album AFRODISIAC is a very strong album...much better than alot of records out there. For some reason...it is nosediving!

Christina can sing, but her slutty reputation precedes her before we ever hear her voice, and monica, after she just spent all her proceeds from her last albums for tattoos all over her body, its a wonder why anyone would take her singing seriously on her current album.

1) They waited too long between albums.
2) B & C had bigger promo pushes behind them.
3) The gay fans latched on to Britney & Christina much more.
4) They used sex more in their images than Brand & Mo.
5) They're white. Bran & Mo are black. You may think it irrelevant, but it matters.

Jill Scott is amazing! Not all of her stuff is 'spoken word poetry' lol Can't wait for the new album...

But anyway, I think it's merely because Christina and Britney put on more of a show ie they dance, I'd imagine younger people are more likely to buy something they like the look of rather than the sound perhaps. Every time I see Brandy or Monica on stage I don't think they really stand out. Personally I don't like either Britney or Christina, I prefer Brandy out of the four but if I had to watch one of them in concert it would probably be Britney for entertainment value and I think thats why they are more popular.

they are white, Brandy and Monica are black and they don't look like beyonce. See there is only room for one really successful black artist out there and they are going to give it to a beyonce looking girl everytime. Sad but true I mean Tamia can sing she but she didn't blow up..Chante Moore can sing but she didn't blow up either and both of these ladies are fine as hell. They will only let one in at a time LOL

Seems to me it is the same way with actors too, only room for Halle that's it as far as females go
