Hendrix and Devon Wilson, Betty Davis and Miles

anybody know the story behind these two women ? They obviously had a big influence on both Hendrix and Miles Davis. Does anybody know their background, what happened to them, and why they played such pivotal roles in these two icons' lives?

Betty WAS THE ONE who turned Miles to Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone and the result was Bitches Brew' and the other Miles Davis albums that possesse the Rock/Funk oriented sound.

Don't knoe much about Devon.

Devon was a hardcore groupie before she even met Jimi. Some of the "bigtime groupies" or as The Stones say "star fuckers" who was hangin with Jimi introduced Devon to him. Devon was seeing Mick Jagger for awhile which started a riff between Jimi and Mick. Thus the song "Dolly Dagger". D as for Devon and Dagger as in Jagger. Mick refered to Hendrix in "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Anyway, Devon was somewhat pivotal in Jimi's life towards the end. Devon commited suicde not to long after Jimi's death. As fas as Betty, her albums are the shit! Which you already know pali.

I think the main reason Devon had Hendrix so turned out was because she was so sexually progressive. She was into women as well, and Jimi probably dugged that. Devon used to "find" Jimi women. U know, she knew Jimi's type, so she would hook him up. Betty Davis was opened minded, so that probably had some type of an effect on Miles. Betty had a thing 4 Jimi. Even wrote a song about him.

Yeah, that tune, "He Was A Big Freak" everybody assumed it was about Miles. Miles said Betty wrote it about Hendrix. As Charles Shaar Murray noted, Good Luck to the person who tries to track down the real story behind THAT one... lol
