Any Erroll Garner Fans? Jazz Freaks Related! This is my ULTIMATE pianist hero ever!
This man plays with so much sophistication and depth like you never believe yet he can reach Duke Ellington's elegance even tho can't even read or write a note. I can safely say he ranks right up there with Art Tatum. One of the things he did that got me in an awe is when he released recorded/released those 3 albums in ONE day and none of them were sloppy. These 2 are my FAVE albums from him: Jazzeddit [This message was edited Tue Aug 3 13:41:52 2004 by Harlepolis]

"Mr." Misty!
You could almost stop right there. My dad used to play the "Concert By The Sea" album with the killer intro to Autumn Leaves. You could almost see the leaves falling. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. That along with Duke Ellington's "Live At Newport"(1956) are my father's fave LIVE albums. His rendition of "Red Top" is outta the universe
