The Interesting Thing About Disco... Is just how many established acts jumped on the bandwagon!
Everybody went disco. Paul Mc.Cartney & Wings - Silly Love Songs The Rolling Stones - Miss You Barbra Streisand - No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) Even Ethel Merman had a disco album. There's obviously more examples but I can't think of any this early in the morning.

Let's not forget Rod Stewart, Blondie and Roy Ayers Ubiquity. I'm sure there's probably countless others.

Everybody went disco. Paul Mc.Cartney & Wings - Silly Love Songs That one doesn't seem to be much on the disco tip to me. The song that was more discofied in terms of being just more danceable was Sir Paul's "Goodnight Tonight"...and damn if his bass playing isn't stellar on that one. It was stellar on "Silly Love Songs" for that matter too. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Even Ethel Merman had a disco album. I remember this. That was one of the contributing factors to the death of disco, when people like Ethel Merman made disco records, it was no longer considered cool. I've been wishing for years that Barbara Streisand, Bette Middler, and Liza Minnelli would do hip hop records. Andy is a four letter word.

When isn't Sir Paul's bass playing stellar? (Even if Lennon rules and McCartney drools) Where you at? tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

And McCartney doesn't drool. Even if he was prone to stuff like "Give My Regards To Broad Street"... ` [This message was edited Tue Aug 3 17:24:54 2004 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent. Wasn't it at Comisky (sp) Park that they had a disco demolition night between games of a double header? So much damage was done to the field the second game was canceled--BITCHES!!! (Unless it was a Yankees game ) How, hateful was that? Back to the question, how about Kiss' "I was made for loving you"? Sounded sorta disco to me.

Disco still lives today but it is underground and has taken another form called house and techno. Andy is a four letter word.

Yeah,it was amazing how many "non-disco" artists jumped on the disco bandwagon in the late-70s....
"Boogie Wonderland" by Earth Wind and Fire (1979) ---EW&F is an R&B/funk/jazz band, but by 1979,they were riding the disco wave, like everybody else. "Goodnight Tonight" by Paul McCartney and Wings (1979) ---Disco or pop? This is a superb track,no matter what you wanna call it. "Miss You" by the Rolling Stones (1978) ----although their hardcore fans would deny it,this song is very "disco-flavored".Not surprisingly,it's also my favorite Rolling Stones song, lol. "Shine A Little Love" by ELO (1979) ---another rock band experiments with disco, and the results were impressive.
