!!! (chk chk chk/pow pow pow) listening to the new !!! record, "louden up now", and i highly recommend it! i don't know how many of you have heard about them...those in the bay area or nyc may be more likely to know who they are...but they have the best combo of funk and rock. the guitar is very reminiscent of the edge (u2). this shit is so bottom heavy, too! and the horns are great! definitely one of the few rock bands that you can dance to...and REALLY dance to!

I saw them last year at Coney Island. They were great. They had that pot-punk/dance/funk sound similar to The Pop Group or A Certain Ratio. I prefer their live stuff to their studio tracks. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I've heard them before a few times, and I like them. For some reason, I expected them to sound like Imperial Teen, another fun, dancy rock band, but they're nothing like them. Good, but in a different way. All the incarnations of Shit Scheisse Merde are groovy.

Oh man, I LOOOOOVE Imperial Teen!!! Such great lyrics and hooks, YUM. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Oh man, I LOOOOOVE Imperial Teen!!! Such great lyrics and hooks, YUM. Ahhhhh...I love them so Their tour with Breeders was one of the best shows I've seen. They played 1st Ave in July 2002, and rocked! Didn't think the Breeders portion of the show was great, but IT certainly were. Most of the crowd didn't immediately know who they were when they opened, but they were definitely all diggin' it and dancin' around by the end. I'm on their mailing list and they've dropped a few hints about possibly doing another album. We'll see...

"I don't give a shit about that motherfuckin' shit!" "George Bush can suck my fuckin' dick!" yeah, "pardon my freedom" is a funny song. its probably my least favorite on the record but still a fun, arrogant song!
