Pat Metheny Group any of y'all Metheny-ites?
another artist that's hard to pigeon-hole;Even though he's a guitarist , I tend to think of Metheny as a composer first and foremost, his group and solo works that run the gamut from Fusion, Bebop, Folk, Rock, Avant Garde and R&B. His influences include Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix , Wes Montgomery, Earth Wind And Fire, Steely Dan, Sonny Rollins, James Taylor and Ornette Coleman My favorite Metheny albums:

I've got the live cd and while this guys oozes talent, I have a hard time feeling the vibe.
