The only broadcast of it I saw was on ABC, where they only showed an hour of it - they didn't show Labelle's performance. What network did they broadcast it in its entirety? This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

i don't think any networks are carrying full coverage. C-SPAN and CNN both have pretty good full coverage/broadcasts, though. as for Patti.... normally, I'd say she did pretty well. but, damn. I'd hate to have to follow Bill Clinton. and in that context, she was just decent. Clinton was the rock star in that room tonight. whew!! "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

Not everyone will admit it, but truth be told nobody wants Clinton going on before them. He was Prince of the RRHOF. That ain't no jive, Clive. I'm not really a fan of Labelle's singing style (she can be too heavy on the histrionics), but I would have watched just to see the spectacle of it all. This post not for the wimp contingent. I saw it. This begs the question of why she also sang at a Bush function. Is it all about being for sale with her?

I love Patti when whe was part of LaBelle and some of her earlier solo work. I didn't care for the song she sang at the convention but I love the fact that she came out and performed there to begin with. I with you about Bill Clinton. He was absolutely wonderful. I was also happy to see another one of my favorites, Jimmy Carter. He is truly a wonderful human being. Andy is a four letter word.

Why does everybody hate The Black Eyed Peas? I don't get it. I don't know, you'd have to ask the people who hate 'em. Seriously, I haven't heard anything from them recently that I like, but I have their debut album, which has some good stuff on it. Not an all time great hip hop album, but I like it well enough to not discard it. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
