Most Talented Female Artist/Group Who's your choice for most talented female artist or group and why?
My choice is Klymaxx. These girls can do everything all by themselves with out the help of any men. They are a full fledged band. Another thing I like about them is they shatter the sterotype that all women are weak. They do all kinds of music from ballads to hardcore funk. I love the fact that they can do hardcore funk just as strong as any men out there and do it with attitude. Andy is a four letter word. | |

Mariah Carey, She writes her own material and has an amazing voice. People are always slating her for one reason or another but personally I think she's one of the most talented female artists around. Just because she shows some skin it shouldn't take away from her as an artist; most of her songs read like poems. Can't wait for the new album... | |

the wonderful Bill Jones, a fantastic folk singer from England. 
she plays many instruments, has a beautiful voice, composes her own material and arranges old standards and rare folk songs magnificently. she's fucking ace.

Mariah Carey one had it all - image, writing skills, soul and oh yeah those pipes. Up till 98 she was absolutely da real deal, no doubt. Nevertheless, after 98 sth changed and somehow she got lost. Though her lyrics (not the ones of the lead singles) remained touching and neat ('Reflection''Petals'-this one is a poema more than a song "Twister") her voice has been worstening year after year. When I heared Charmbracelet my first thoughts were that she must have some polip on her throat and that singing must be very painfull for her nowadays - you can almost hear how she struggles to stay in tune. Moreover she stared using this childish voice(extremly high - before she used much lower one) that I can hardly stand. To notice compare "Yours" to "Can't let Go" or any song pre 99. Still i hope she will overcome those problem and return bigtime cuz I think she is still talented but needs to focus more on music (why don't those filthy rich stars ever invest in music education - learn to play an instrument or read notes - this really refines one's musical tastes).

How did I forget about Patrice Rushen. Now she was a bad lady also.
And when mentioned Klymaxx, I forgot to mention Bernadette Cooper on her own. She produced a girl group on her own called Madame X that kind of reminded me of Vanity 6. I love nasty girls.
