Fight the Power
Don't Believe the Hype
Brothers Gonna Work It Out

Hard for me to limit it to just those 5, because I think the entire Fear of a Black Planet is a solid album (my pick for the greatest rap album).

Nice post 2Freaky ! PE gotta be one of THE hardest groups for which to pick a top 5.
I could quite easily go with all the 5's listed so far as they are all masterpieces !

Only the other day I played the first 4 albums all straight - first timesId listend to PE for about 6-7 years. I was still getting goosebumps like when I first heard some of those tunes.

Top 5 today (off the top !):

Rebel Without A Pause
911 Is A Joke
Welcome To The Terrordome
Fight The Power
Cant Truss It

music
The Funk, the whole funk & nothin' but the funk, ya dig?!

Can't Truss It (Love the video thumbs up!)
Bring the Noise (Did Anthrax cover this w/PE?)
911 Is a Joke
Burn Hollywood Burn
Fight the Power

Thanks for this thread because I've been thinking about this piece of trivia and now I've got a reason to use it. smile Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't LL Cool J's homey E Love the silhouette in the crosshairs of PE's logo?

I remember the E Love reference from way back. I never questioned it because E Love use to wear a hat like that and he sorta strikes that pose in LL's "I'm Bad" video. Anyway, I was too lazy to verify it, but since you said otherwise I had to check it out.

How did Public Enemy get it's logo?
Chuck D drew it himself. The silhouette is of E Love, who was L.L. Cool J's sidekick at the time.
