Yeah, one of the best songs on that album. I love the way MJ's voice sounded from 1973-1978. Their last four albums on Motown, the first three albums with Epic records... drooling ..."Forever, Michael", last solo lp for Motown... drool

music Breeeezy, you're so eazy to love...

'Breezy' and 'Farewell My Summer Love' are both cool trax.

Also check out 'Don't Say Goodbye Again' from 'Get It Together' it reminds me of a track which should b on MJ's 'Off The Wall'!!

Yeah, Breezy is a great song. I like the groove of it. You can slow dance or you could go fast on it. Farewell My Summer Love is another great song. Coner of the Sky is a hit that no one remembers, A top 20 smash, yet you rarely hear it on your local RnB station.

A true lost track is "To Know" from the Lookin' Through the Windows LP. It could have been the second coming of "I'll Be There" but Motown released "Little Bitty Pretty One"
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

If I'm not mistaken,"Farewell My Summer Love" is an old Michael Jackson track from the 70s.In 1984,to cash in on the whole Michaelmania/Thriller craze,Motown pulled this song from the vaults and released it as single.I remember hearing it on the radio in spring '84 and thinking "Where did this song come from?!" LOL.Motown has a history of doing this.In 1981,they released another old Michael Jackson song "One Day In Your Life" as a single,to cash in on his 'Off The Wall/Triumph' success.

Yep. Just like they've released a "I want You Back" 80s remix. And their reason for releasing it was so obvious as it read "Michael Jackson(big letters) with the Jackson5(small letters)" on the cover

nod Yeah, good ole Motown. They released a whole album titled "Farewell, My Summer Love", full of un-released solo tracks by MJ that were recorded in 1973. I don't know the origins of these songs...were they a solo release by MJ that was later scrapped? Or was this an example of Motown making J5/MJ record a bunch of stuff just for the sake of it. Part of the reason the J5 wanted to (or at least claimed) get away from Motown was because they said the company was having them pay for a lot of recordings that were never released. Up until 1974, they were releasing 2-3 lp's a year...then throw in MJ's, Jermaine's, and Jackie's solo releases... eek All that stopped in 1974 when Papa Joe saw the writing on the wall and started the whole family act/Vegas ordeal. The rest, as they say, is history... wink

oh yeah, i love that one too...Jermaine sounds great on this cut...gets as many lines as Mike on this cut.....even jackie gets a few lines.....

love thse really early J5 songs with Michale and Jermaine and sometimes even jackie on them.

.....jermaines solo career should of been so much better.....but his Arista output was quite good...remember "Dynamite" "I think it's love" and his last solo album "You said" in 1991! That has some good New jack swing on that one- "You said, you said", "I dream, I dream" and "Word to the badd".....

"Breezy, you're so easy to love..."

Love it. That's when The Jackson 5 were in decline @ motown, but they still made some hot tracks in the mid-70's. Get It Together, Moving Violation, Forever Came Today all good tracks.
