Janet Jackson has been called in to save the struggling Broadway production of Bombay Dreams.

The 38-year-old pop star is in talks to take on the role of Bollywood star Rani in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical's £8 million New York version, which opened in April to poor reviews.

I wonder if this will actually happen.

this could be a good way to make some ca$h, lower her profile a titch and get some good press...might not be a bad idea. That is, of course, assuming this performance doesn't involve nudity

Janet's in talks every 5 minutes for some acting project or another that never seems to materialize.
