Yes! I loved Lauren's last album and the duet with Bob Marley's 'turn your lights down low' if you hadn't heard it, hear it! She needs to bless us with her voice once again, the woman got soul.

The funny thing is "they" tried to make it look like she made that whole alum on her own.. writting,ect..

BUT she has been in court for a couple years because "they"/she ripped off writers that didn't get credit.. or paid.. plus producers..

so I guess she ain't what "they" tried to make her look like she was..

Really?? That is pretty interesting. They did indeed promote that she was so young and produced and wrote everything on her own. I almost thought she was brilliant, should have known better--- marketing tactic for the music industry. I still think she is extremely talented and am excited for a new album. Must be hard to make a successful follow up album that will live up to eveyone's expectations. Prince managed to do it with Sign of the Times.

I bloody love Lauryn Hill. Incredible voice, beautiful looks, she's just marvellous. The Fugees were great, Lauryn's "Miseducation" was brilliant and I can't wait for the new album biggrin

I loved her longer funky locks years ago, she looked damn sexy. Dunno what she looks like now.

I can't wait for her new CD either. She's one of my favorites & "The Misseducation..." CD was incredible.

By the way, she cut her locks and know has extremely short hair, a short afro.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I heard that this new Lauryn Hill 'Unplugged' album will be a 2-CD set! She also has a new studio album on the way.In the past few years, she has completed dozens of new songs. There is also talk of her working with Carlos Santana again (I'd love to see the two of them tour together).

Lauryn Hill is back y'all,and I'm thrilled!!!!!smile

Lauryn's a beautiful and talented sista...for sure. My only problem was during her first album, some dumb critics was compating her to Stevie. This is an insult to Stevie and his incredible body of work. She is good but have a waaaaayyssss to go before she can be ranked with the likes of a Stevie. Great artist though!!!!! New album sounds interesting!!!!

Lauryn Hill is obviously a HUGE Stevie Wonder fan.Listen to her CD...there are moments that are reminiscent of Stevie's 70s work. When she produced the song "All That I can Say" for Mary J.Blige, critics were saying that it's "reminiscent of Songs In The Key Of Life".Here are some of my favorite Lauryn Hill tracks...

***"The Sweetest Thing" (1997)---This song appeared on the 'Love Jones' soundtrack, and it is BRILLIANT! It sounds like a soul song from the early 70s! I paid $16 for this CD,JUST to get this one song!! It was worth every penny.

***"When It Hurts So Bad"(1998)---I don't why this wasn't released as a single. It's one of the best songs on her CD!

***"Doo Wop (That Thing)" (1998)---This is great!! Cool horns,a killer message, and that nice little "doo wop" break makes this one of hip-hop's brightest moments.

***"Do You Like The Way" (1999)---Lauryn produced this song for Santana, and it appears on his 14-million selling 'Super Natural' CD.It has a Curtis Mayfield/Al Green sound, perfectly capturing the soulful 70s.My only regret is that Lauryn didn't sing it herself.Cee-Lo is great, but imagine if Lauryn had sang the verses instead. Her rap at the beginning is powerful, though.

***"To Zion" (1998)---Another killer collaboration with Carlos Santana.Whenever you get these two genuises on a track, the results are mind-blowing!

***"Lost Ones" (1998)---What a way to start an album, with a kickass,take-no-prisoners track like this!!!!

***"Forgive Them Father" (1998)---Another song from her album that should have been a single.

Wow,and I haven't even named any Fugees tracks yet!

DAVIDEYE....that whole Love Jones sountrack CD was awesome. I think Cassandra Wilson had the best song on the disc though!!! That woman is something else!!!!! Her song was incredible!!!

Ms

Just saw Lauryn's Unplugged set on MTV2.

I'm almost speechless. Powerful, a personal testament, moving, incredible. Had me and the audience crying at times too it was so beautiful and heart felt and real.

She is a love chile'! A earth baby too, like myself. She makes it plain without it coming off preachy. It just is what it is. You will either dig it or you wont. It all depends where your mind and consciousness is.

She is not only a poet, but a spoken word artist and so much more. Spiritual too.

If there is any good in you at all, you have a heart, are conscious and awake or seeking some consciousness and u r a real person not fake, u will love this album.

peace.
