Whick Artist Started These ... I have some important music questions, does anyone know the answers

Although it definitely matters how you define "remix" when you ask that question, I would say that the remix appeared as early as the labels began completely remixing album tracks for single release. Which is very early, although I can't give you an exact date.

This is a hard one to answer, but I'm kinda with you on this one. If you're going with commercial availability, Ten Percent by Double Exposure was the first commerical 12" single (if you wanna call that a remix). It was released in March 1976. As for the others? I dunno, I just know interludes and intros have been done to DEATH in recent years, particularly by R&B artists. It gets old. | |
