Love this woman. I think she's terribly underrated...but maybe that's just me.

I love Tracy Chapman too and I agree that she is underrated as an artist!

Her music is so beautiful and poetic.

I'm not sure what my favorite song(s)/album of hers would be, though. I got her debut album after hearing 'Fast Car' when that single came out and LOVED the whole album, especially 'Fast Car', 'For My Lover', 'If Not Now..' and 'For You'. Actually, it's hard for me to pick just a few songs off that album - I lvoe the whole thing so much!

I also really really love the "Crossroads" album - 'Bridges', 'All that you have is your soul' and the title track especially.

I discovered Tracy Chapman's music right around the time of a very traumatic breakup and her songs are so powerful and inspiring. They really gave me some much needed strength.

This thread reminds me that I need to start listening to TC more often again. I don't know why I haven't in awhile, because I really do love her music.
