Funny. I have an extremely vague memory of this happening to me too. Where did that take place?

Some radio festival (I think the station was 108 The Wave?). It was in St. Paul, MN somewhere, right after "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got" dropped. I did not just use that term, 'dropped'. Good grief.[/quote]

Yeah, it was like an outdoor concert? Oh my god! I think I was there! I had forgotten all about that! Hey, that pissed me off!!!! fight

Unfortunately it's Prince in 2002. Pissed me off royally with his crowd preaching.

I saw NERD last year and THEY were great, but Dustbin Timberfake turned up for the whole damn thing and ruined it all.

I saw Joan Jett & the Black Hearts in the 80s. Don't recall that they were particularly bad, but they did have a magician as their opening act. That's not a good thing.

i love mazzy star and had never seen them live. hope put out a solo album and went out on tour for it. i asked my best friend to go, he didn't want to. i asked another friend who had seen mazzy star before and he didn't want to either. i ended up going by myself because i wasn't going to miss out on the show. for whatever reasons, i got there late and she wasn't on yet, so i just stood around waiting. finally, the show got ready to start. hope came out and started the set, no greeting, didn't speak at all to the audience once. she did some songs and then left the stage. one of the band members got up too. we were told there was some technical difficulties and blah, blah, blah. they came back about 15 minutes later, few songs more and hope left again. band kept playing, hope didn't come back. she performed maybe 30 or 40 minutes and seemed hazy. such a bad performance and the very small crowd was a bit stunned. i found out afterwards from a friend that hope was asleep on the bus outside the club and woke up 5 minutes before taking the stage. she didn't want to perform but, was persuaded. money issues i'm sure and i was none too pleased that she got my money.

That mess was boring as hell! I didn't know any of his music and only went to the concert because my girlfriend's friend bought tickets for us.

Mariah Carey in 1998. It was fucking expensive, and totally predictable. The bitch changed clothes about 12 times throughout the show, while we waited. She ate vegemite as a token gesture because it was in Australia, and it was just lame in every respect. It was absolutely NO different from listening to her CD's at home, and what I was doing there in the first place, still eludes me.

Bullwinkle: Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
Rocky: Again? That trick never works.
Bullwinkle: Nothin' up my sleeve. Presto!
