The last time was 96 when Emancipation went double platinum (actually only 630,000 copies but since it was a triple album...you all know the story). And before people once again start harping on the whole "he hasn't sold anything because he gave it all away" crap, 60% of that platinum status is retail sales. Musicology is a platinum hit!!! Great news! This is everything I've been hoping for with Prince. Platinum and Prince sounds good together!  I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
