I was wondering if any of you guys know if Prince is still planning to headline the Essence Music Festival on Friday. I have tix, and plan to go anyway (to see Morris and the boys), but in light of recent events, I wasn't sure if Prince would be a no-show on Friday. Share the info if you have it. Thanks!

I know they had been rehearsing especially 4 it, but I would find it VERY HIGHLY doubtful now.

There are much more important things 2 consider now, and John and his family should be allowed 2 take as much time as they need - pressure from fans isn't what he needs right now.

I guess I'm just invisible or somethin' cuz I made up a topic on housequake.com with no response and now this. I just made a topic on this and no one answered. I didn't get tickets, but I was wondering because maybe I could see on tv or something.

I went to the Bossier City, LA concert but a friend begged me to go with him to the Essence Festival concert instead. I chose Bossier City because there are no other groups except Prince. I can't see Prince performing near as long at the Essence Festival because you have all these other groups to perform.

Now after hearing this about the sore throat, I see I made the right choice.

How about one of you buy my ticket & find out for yourself??
