Many many reasons. Too much control over credit/song writing/not able to play as well as Prince wanted/he was an ass etc.....And probably all of them true. I think it was a mutual thing.

At the conclusion of the Parade tour, Prince fired Wendy, Lisa and David Z. They had no choice in the matter.

Although just before the beginning of the Parade tour, Wendy and Lisa had already advised Prince that they wanted to leave the band and they had to be persuaded to stay for the tour.

Brown Mark had also expressed dissatisfaction in continuing with the band at that stage and left when Bobby Z, Wendy and Lisa were fired after the tour.

it had been on the cards for a while. Ultimately it was Prince's decision, but was not entirely
unexpected. It really boiled down to 3 main things though. 1. Prince's relationship with Wendy
& Lisa becoming strained, plus them wanting to pursue their own career. 2. Prince and Susannah
break up (which didn't help with point 1). And 3, Prince wanting to musically move on from what
he could achieve with The Revolution. Of course it's all a lot more complicated than that, and it's
not a case of Prince just firing everybody out of the blue.

I sure do miss Wendy and Lisa though...with Prince that is. It's all good though.

I read there was already tension in the group but the end result was Prince fired them.

The relationship between Prince and Wendy and Lisa got stressed when he started bringing his personal relationship with Susannah and it's problems to "work" with him. He started treating them cold and almost put them in a position of choosing him or Susannah. Of course they had a loyalty to their sister. This is all information that Lisa herself has said in various interviews so this isn't me guessing on what happened.

And what is UP with Susannah dating who the girl's work with? Prince, Seal, and then she married Doyle Bramhall II who they produced.
