I just heard awful news...can anyone confirm? Hi! My first post here as I have been a lurker. Not one I am to happy about writing.
A friend of mines Dad was playing (an instrument of some sort in a band I suppose) in a hotel in the Chicagoland area last night. Two of Princes band members came up and asked if they could jam with him. SHe said that they told her Dad that John Blackwells son just died in a pool drowning. It's true, but it was actually his daughter who drowned over the weekend. I think I saw her at one of the shows, and she was a beautiful little girl. Horrible, horrible news. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Just wanted to say that I felt bad about posting this as a "newbie" I figured people would think I was some sort of a freak getting a kick out of posting horrible news. But my intentions were only out of great concern. THe good friend who told me has a father who is a pianist that plays in the lounge of a hotel in Chicago where two of Princes band members asked to jam with him last nite. They told him the news ,said there were no shows going to happen here and she passed it on to me knowing I was to go to the concert tonight in Chi town ( I left the name of the hotel out purposely even though I know it as I didnt want hordes of people swarming there) Anyway,just wanted to clear the air as I know my first post disturbed some people,but it was just a only out of concern.
