Musicology vs. Wildcard

Ok, before i get flamed, I hate "vs." posts too, but after listening to Wildcard(TTD) from beginning to end again last night I couldn't resist.

My choice would be Wildcard. I think Prince is miles ahead of TTD musically, but Wildcard is a very good album compared to Musicology. Musicology has it's moments but my vote would be Wildcard hands down.

Just curious what other orgers think. Please post your opinion.

wildcard's deeper and has more range - musicology is more accessible and polished.

"Wildcard" is a fantastic album. It's a lot better and more diverse than "Musicology". Most Prince fans know "Musicology" is just an average album for him. Unfortunately, "Wildcard" hasn't sold crap. That sucks because it definitely shows what a great artist TTD(I know he changed his name) is, without ripping off anyone.

it's a shame ttd has drifted into obscurity as wildcard is a better album than musicology.

Hmm, exact opposite here. Abosolutely loved Wildcard in the beginning. Doesn't hold my interest at all anymore.

Haven't had Musicology long enough to say if it'll suffer the same fate.

You kiddin?WILDCARD easily.
Also, taking it a step further --TTD's from Neither Fish Nor Flesh to Wildcard have been better than anything Prince has put out in the 90's/2000's.

I think that Wildcard suffers from what many people think some of Prince's albums (other than Musicology) suffer from. It's too long.

I like about every other song on the record.

So I like some of Wildcard better, but on the whole I think Musicolgy is more successful because there's not as much to skip.

This will sound bad but someone please help me
Who is TTD or I should say waht does it stand for?
Where did you find the Wildcard album?
Is it Prince?
Should I have it?
If you will, so will I

TTD stands for terence trent d'arby. now known as sananda maitreya and still making great music, go pick up wildcard, its a must have, well in my opinion

Terence Trent Darby is a great artist who was popular in the late 80's and is a great vocalist! Last year after a 8 year absence he released WILDCARD(his own independent label)! He changed his name for spiritual reasons to Sananda Mairtreya. He is fantastic in concert and he toured here in NYC after 8 years and he never sounded better. He also did a meet and greet with his fans after the show. He has given the tracks for "Wildcard" for free recently on his website. Check out his website www.sanandamaitreya.com for this FANTASTIC artist. My avatar shows the cover to "Wildcard" and yes it's a better CD than Musicology. His CD is available in most records stores. His first album is a masterpiece "The World According to Terence Trent Darby", But my favorite CD by him is Niether Fish, Nor Flesh a CD ahead of it's time.

Musicology is more Pop comparerd to Wildcard... Just as Wildcard is more Pop compared to The Rainbow Children - NEWS.

It is what it is. And it is good. Get Wilcard.

The music world is a better place when we can get TTD/SM flavors.

Wildcard had a few good tunes but a lot of it sounded very dated. Not dated in a cool, back-in-the-day, "How Do U Want Me 2 Do" way, but in a bad, early 90's "Supermodel Sandwich With Cheese" way. I have always liked TTD but he is not in the same league and has never deserved the ongoing comparisons to Prince, no matter how wacky he acts or how many times he changes his name.
You better wake up, Stella. This is my town!
