A rare thank-you from me to Prince Prince,
I've been listening to Musicology fairly regurlarly for the past few months. And, I'm struck by the cool use of instrumentation, the good mix of song styles and the pretty strong melodies on the album. But, my biggest joy is the use of live drums on most of the tracks. Thanks much. My biggest gripe with you (and Stevie Wonder, for that matter) for the longest time has been the unimaginative, hackneyed drum programming that marred many of your more recent albums. Sure, "Life of the Party" features an off-key bell in its drum program, but I'm trying really hard to forgive you of that. The tasteful, straightforward drumming on songs like "Reflections," "Cinnamon Girl" and "The Couch" is a welcome treat. Now, if you'd just release a version of "The Man in Your Life" without that silly, faux-fusion vamp and with a serious, in-your-face rock guitar solo like that song deserves, we'll be friends for life. Or, at least, until the next album. My best to Rhonda, ThreadBare

yea she's good but the letter is about P. and his music so that had no relation to the letter and stuck out. That's what threw me off.

She said she would never date an Orger who would write "effection." She said something like, "Even we Canadians have standards for English..." Sorry, Blue.
